YSR Congress party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Wednesday asked the party cadre to gear up for early elections in the state in October, 2018. He has asked the leaders to keep the party vibrant in all the 175 assembly constituencies in the state.
YS Jagan will announce an action plan for his proposed Padayatra begins November 2 in Andhra Pradesh. Based on the outcome of the meeting held with senior leaders on Wednesday and the suggestions given by the leaders, YS Jagan is preparing the action plan to make success his yatra and also consolidate the party at gross root level.
Party senior leader and MP Mekapati Raj Mohan Reddy told newsmen that YS Jagan stressed the need to strengthen the party’s booth committees and give party posts to the leaders who were working hard in the districts. He said YS Jagan also instructed leaders to solve the problems being faced by people by consulting the officials at local level.
The YSR Congress leader said YS Jagan will conduct padayatra in 125 assembly constituencies. In the remaining 50 segments, the YSR Congress Chief will take up bus yatra. Following reports that elections will be held in December 2018 , YS Jagan told the leaders to speed up voter registration campaign and fight against the ruling TDP on the deletion of voters supporting YSR Congress and bogus votes added in the list.
