Brand Babu Review & Rating

Brand Babu is the latest Telugu film that is going to release on this Friday. The film stars a newcomer Sumanth Shailendra in the lead role. Esha Rebba is the heroine in the film.

Produced by Shailendra Babu, the film is directed by Prabhakar who made his directional debut with the film Next Nuvve. After scoring a flop with Next Nuvve, Prabhakar is hoping that this new film will bring him a big hit.

Story:

Diamond( Shailendra) is born to a rich businessman (Murali Sharma). Murali Sharma always wanted his son to marry a person who gives value to brands. In the same way, diamond comes across Radha (Esha Rebba) and mistakes her to be Pavani(Poojitha Ponnada), the daughter of a home minister.

Diamond proposes his love to Radha and she also instantly accepts it but Diamond comes to know that he actually proposed to Radha instead of Pavani. What happens then? Whom did Diamond Love? What happens in the end forms the story of the film.

Performances:

Sumanth Shailendra and Esha Rebba are the lead actors in the film. Both of them have delivered their best and impressed in the roles of hero and heroine. Sumanth Shailendra should improve a lot. Esha Rebba impressed in the role of a maid.

The comedy has worked out through both the characters. Murali Sharma played an interesting role and he has been the best in the film. Raja Ravindra played another important role in the film and proved his presence.

The other comic actors have brought decent comedy to the film. The rest of the cast made their presence felt.

Technical Aspects:

Karthik Palani’s camera work is nice and it is one of the positive elements of the movie. Editing by S B Uddav is decent and good. The runtime could have been chopped off for making the film pacy.

The music by Jeevan Babu is not up to the mark. His songs are not impressive. The background score of the movie is loud and did not elevate some scenes of the movie. The production values maintained by Shailendra Babu are rich. The script work is impressive.

Verdict:

Brand Babu is the film that has got the shades of Seema Tapakai and a lot of other tested comedy entertainers. Directed Maruti has cleverly cooked up an interesting film and has written a simple story.

The screenplay of the movie is entertaining but routine. The first half of the movie started well and the interval bang also impressed everyone but the second half has completely failed in creating interest for the audiences.
