The next 48 hrs PM Modi will be in Varanasi? Wonder why? He will be campaigning for the UP elections. Looks like UP has taken centre stage for the BJP government which has pulled out all stops in the final phase of elections.
Amit Shah sets up a “war room’ in Varanasi
Varanasi is due to go to polls on March 8, the final 7th phase of UP elections. Modi as the star campaigner will hold a road show in the heart of the city, starting from the Benares Hindu University and then address two rallies in Jaunpur and City South on Saturday. On Sunday he is scheduled for another rally at Kashi Vidyapeeth. On the last day of campaigning, he will be addressing two more rallies at Rohaniya and Sewapuri.
The U.P Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, Rahul Gandhi and Mayawati will all be in Varanasi too.
No wonder all eyes will be on this holy place. One only hopes that peace is maintained as the polarization drive has begun.
