The most awaited music awards this year will not only be remembered for the stars and their songs but also for their histrionics. The 2017 Grammy awards belonged to Adele and Beyonce this year. Adele, the British star won best album, song and record of the year at the Grammys. She’s the first artist in Grammy history to sweep the top three categories twice-she first won all three in 2012. Now she has a total of 15 Grammy awards.

Breaks award so she can share with Beyonce

Adele also went on to literally break her award, so that she can share it with Beyonce. Adele said to her fellow singer “But I can’t really accept this award. And I’m very humble and I’m very grateful and gracious, but my artist of my life is Beyonce. This album you made, the Lemonade album, is so monumental. The way you make me and my friends feel, the way you make my black friends feel is empowering. And they stand up for themselves. And I love you. I always have.”

Anti- Trump overtones in the Grammy’s this year

A Tribe Called Quest stole the night, as Busta Rhymes announced, “I want to thank President Agent Orange for your unsuccessful Muslim ban.” They chanted, “Resist, resist, resist.”
