The Samajwadi Party leader and present Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Akhilesh Yadav is quickly becoming a unifying leader who with his cool-headedness is giving a tough fight for the BJP and its star campaigner, none other than the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi in the present Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh

Akhilesh- a leader in the making

Akhilesh Yadav having stood up against the divisive policies within his own party, has gained not only in stature but by quickly consolidating his support has gained mileage to take the decision to fight the elections on the same plank as the Congress, a move that surprised many but is the only way ahead to oppose the increasingly communal overtones of the BJP.

His achievements on the development front is accepted even by his enemies, grudgingly of course. This fact may prove costly to both the BJP and the BSP.

“I am content with my task in Uttar Pradesh and have no ambitions of becoming the Prime Minister of the country,” he said at an event organised by a news channel today, adding that people who stay away from Delhi are happier.
