Directed by Vi Anand, Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada starring Nikhil, Hebah Patel and Nanditha Swtha has hit the theaters today. Let’s see how the film shaped up.

Arjun (Akhil), who works in a graphic company, goes to a Kerala to treat his friend Kishore (Vennela Kishore) who is suffering from a psychological problem at Mahisasura Mardhini temple. There, he meets Amala (Hebbah) who is also in Kerala for her sister’s treatment. Both gets close to each other but she suddenly disappears one day without informing Arjun. But he gets a life of shock when he gets to know that the girl her met in Kerala died in a road accident a few years ago. In another twist, he meets another girl who claims herself as Amala (Nandita Swetha). Who is Amala and why does she run behind Arjuna? forms the rest of the story.

Young hero Nikhil has already proved his mettle with Karthikeya. Now, this film takes him to another level. He delivered a very good performance and never tries to elevate heroism and sticks to his role. Hebah Patel attracts with her glamour and her performance is also decent. But Nanditha Swetha gets full marks for her performance. She is here to stay and she gave life to her role. Praveen and Sathya evoke much laughs with their comedy. Others performed according to their roles.

Sekhar Chandra’s music is average but background score is perfect and it elevates the scenes. Editing could have been better. Camera work is good and captured the scenic beauty of Kerala. Production values are decent.

Director Vi Anand could not get much recognition with Tiger but he succeeds with this film. He comes up with a fresh story and his narration keeps the audience glued. He has succeeded in getting suspense and mystery right in the movie and the comedy also worked well in the movie. The film producer and Nikhil should be appreciated for agreeing to do a film that is different from regular Telugu movies.The minus points of the movie are editing and some unnecessary scenes added in the beginning and climax also dragged.

The film has many thrilling moments and the film is a worth watchable for this weekend.
