Andhra Pradesh police finally arrested runaway professor AVV Lakshmi who is facing charges in PG medical student B. Sandhya Rani’s suicide case. The police took 21 days to trace out whereabouts of professor madam and her husband Parthasarathi, Vice Chairman of the AP Medical Council and finally nabbed the couple in Bangalore. Sandhya Rani committed suicide last month and in her suicide note she said that she was committing suicide because of Professor Lakshmi torture and verbal abuse. Initially the AP government and police preferred to ignore the case till medicos intensified agitation demanding action against Professor Lakshmi.
However, the government for reasons best known to it, adopted ‘handle with care’ attitude in her case and tried to hush-up the case by constituting an inquiry committee and the police constituted police teams to nab the suspended professor who was on a run. In the meanwhile the unfortunate parents of the Sandhya Rani approached Telangana IT Minister K. Taraka Rama Rao and his intervention the police nabbed professor 24 hours.
Finally the morale of the Story is it is better to approach Telangana CM KCR or his son and IT Minister KTR, rather AP CM Chandrababu Naidu or the de-facto CM Lokesh to get resolved problems with AP government or police.
