Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s decision to scrap Rs 500 and Rs 1000 currency notes to curb black money has hit the Tollywood producers in a hard way. Several films were already postponed and a few small budget films were temporarily stalled due to lack of funds.

Several film makers are banging heads with unaccounted cash. The latest buzz in Film Nagar circles is that a top producer, who makes almost two films per year, worried so much when Modi announced the bans of Rs 500 and Rs 100 notes circulation. But this clever producer immediately cleared all his hand loans and disposed all the unaccounted cash of higher denomination notes. So, all his debts have been cleared.

Two films have already on the sets under in his film’s banner and now he has to look after the day to day expenses.
