YSRCP decided to support KAPU agitation

YSR Congress party has decided to extend its support to the Kapu agitation, which was promised by ruling Telugu Desam Party in the 2014 elections.

YSRCP leader, Bhumana Karunakar Reddy reminded that TDP had placed the demand in its election manifesto and also promised to provide reservation to the Kapu community by merging it in Backward Community. However, TDP has been neglecting to fulfill the poll promises. Thus, people have started questioning the Chief Minister, Chandrababu Naidu for going back on his poll promises on BC reservations to the Kapu community.

He further made it clear that the TDP government also failed to fulfill the promise of regularization of contract workers.
